BRIGNOLES

Brignoles is the provincial capital of the Green Provence, located on the axis of the national road 7 and the A8 motorway. Brignoles was built in Roman times along the Aurelian Way and became an important trading pole. Even today, the life of the town is determined by the Saturday market, one of the most important markets in Var, and the agricultural fair in April, one of the last in the region. Many wineries surround the town and its vineyards. One of the most famous wineries is Canadel, a Provençal bastide of the 18thᵉ century on 172 hectares, thanks to George Clooney, who bought the domain with his wife.
